Building Resilient Food Systems for Africa
Transforming agriculture, climate resilience, and community livelihoods through innovation and partnership.
What is AFSEN Africa?
AFSEN Africa is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 2024 with a sharp focus on Kenya and Africa at large to advance food security, environmental sustainability, water hygiene and sanitation (WASH), and climate resilience. The organization was formed in response to pressing challenges, including fragile food systems, water insecurity, environmental degradation, climate vulnerability, and limited economic opportunities in underserved communities.
AFSEN Africa seeks to reimagine food security as a strategic development objective—not merely access to food, but a comprehensive system that integrates climate-smart agriculture, resilient ecosystems, inclusive markets, water security, youth empowerment, and community resilience.
We implement practical, community-driven programs that promote sustainable agriculture, responsible natural resource management, ecosystem restoration, and economic resilience. Innovation and research guide our work, ensuring evidence-based and scalable solutions.
Membership is open to all individuals and institutions that share the vision of building resilient communities and sustainable development pathways.
